Dr JohnsonDr. Daphne Johnson graduated from the Oregon State University Vet School in 2014 with a particular interest in feline emergency medicine, international veterinary medicine and equine general practice. Following graduation, she completed an equine internship at Pilchuck Veterinary Hospital where she focused primarily on equine anesthesia, surgery, neonatal medicine and dentistry.

Dr. Johnson is excited to meet her professional goal of working as a mixed animal general practitioner in a small community, and she loves working with all animals including dogs, cats, horses, goats and alpacas. She aims to provide complete and compassionate care for her patients and their human companions.

Dr. Daphne Johnson is originally from Warrenton, Virginia but moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2007. She was exposed to the veterinary profession from a very young age growing up on the family farm, but her interest in persuing vet medicine as a career peaked later in life. She was was drawn to the animal and human connections that she can make through her work and the meaningful change she can make in the lives of others as well as the continual learning involved in medicine.

After living and travelling in South America and Spain, Dr. Johnson is fluent in spanish and is looking forward to using her spanish with her clients.

Dr. Johnson was drawn to the Columbia River Gorge for many reasons including the wonderful community, beautiful setting and vast array of outdoor recreation. When she’s not working, Dr. Johnson can be found trail running with her dog Mugsy, riding her bike or creating noise with her banjo.
